The Costa Rica Breeze Private Residence Club definitely exceeded our expectations. We weren't sure how it would be having to travel to the beach club, but we actually just ended up walking there a couple times, though there was a shuttle available - we did take the shuttle back to the resort. The restaurant was very good - I had the Mexican Salad with Chicken and my husband had a cheeseburger. Both were excellent and very well socially distanced from other guests. Also, the massage on the beach with Rosa was amazing, though I imagine may not be comfortable for some since it's just a bed on the grass under the tree (probably not part of the resort, but WELL worth the $40 for an hour massage since my back was hurting quite a bit). The room at the resort was very nice and well stocked. Had everything we needed to cook in, though the number of 4.5+ star restaurants within walking distance made us want to go out for lunch and dinner. The walk to the beach was great. We felt safe all the time, even after dark. Tons to do here. If you want to explore, we suggest renting a car and driving down to Tamarindo during the dry season (We used Solid Car Rental in Liberia - great customer service and reasonable priced I thought $80 per day full insurance coverage - no extra taxes or fees). The road (the 911) does go through the jungle where the river washes out the road during rainy season apparently. We stayed 1 night in Tamarindo and went horseback riding on the beach.

The unit could use a little refreshing such as new paint décor. Also, the TV in the living room has some uneven bright spots.
REVIEW C. | 11/13/2019 10:38am
Disappointed in the overall look of room due to needing paint and a towel rack falling off the wall. Housekeeping continually hung towels on the rack and did not report it damaged.
REVIEW C. | 05/29/2019 4:43pm
Checkout process is somewhat ridiculous. I have never been somewhere that checked every glass for chips in the edges took apart blenders to see if the rubber seals were in them Etc. The staff was very nice and professional while doing it.
REVIEW C. | 03/27/2019 9:28am
No English speaking tv, no land line for toll free call to US Friday, no bathtub, sales presentation by Luis was awful, impossible to find room first night in the dark with no directional signs to room, river tour to Palo Verde was ok
REVIEW C. | 03/13/2019 1:38pm
We were never given a map of the property to show us where the pools were located or explanation on codes to use when leaving and entering the property through the security gate by foot. We had to figure this out for ourselves. We were disappointed in the remote location of the resort and disappointed in the town. We did take one tour and it was lovely. The tours were expensive so it was not something we could do every day. We did like the Beach Club and used it almost every day.
REVIEW C. | 02/27/2019 9:33am
There are no handrails to get in or out of the pools, a definite safety concern as most everyone there was over 50. This property is not quite up to The Registtry Standards that we have experienced before. The first unit they gave us was on the third floor with no elevator. They switched us but we lost a day of our vacation.
REVIEW C. | 02/13/2019 3:02pm
Checkout procedure could be improved. I understand they need to count everything (every place have their own rules). But it holds the guests from the checkout in timely manner.
REVIEW C. | 01/30/2019 10:11am
This property requires you to do a very thorough validation of inventory both on arrival and on departure. I have never been asked to do that in my life and I don't think it is appropriate for Registry Collection. Also several of the electrical fittings in rooms were lose and in a dangerous condition. This was pointed out but not fixed during our stay.
MICHAEL D. | 01/29/2019 2:57pm
This property is a joke and should not even be offered through The Registry Collection. The furniture is uncomfortable and pleather, the dresser drawers were broke, TVs missing from two of the three bedrooms, black marks on the walls throughout the unit, damaged cabinetry, doors falling off their tracks, water damaged doors and trim. The staff is rude and not helpful. The unit was not ready and delivered an hour after the posted check-in time. There are few activities or nightlife to do in town. Don't waste your points on this place. Find another property which is actually up to the Registry standards.
REVIEW C. | 03/21/2018 9:40am
I felt that the organization of the management was very poor. Multiple requests were made for towels that were not in the room upon arrival. It took 3 days to receive the towels. The coffee pot was broken. The check out process was rude and disorganized. An inventory of the room was required before they would complete the check out process. I found this to be rude and condescending,It insinuated that we were not trusted and would steal something from the room. I would not stay at this property again.
REVIEW C. | 02/28/2018 9:34am
We love it in Costa Rica. Was our 2nd visit and plan to go back next year. Location is ideal and beach club is beautiful. Prices are reasonable and food very good. All employees feel like family to us at the BeachClub.
REVIEW C. | 08/23/2017 12:14pm
Not a property worthy of Registry Collection (RC), it's silver RCI. Emailed 2x w o response to plan. @ arrival difficult to determine where to check-in. #2 spoke w was mildly helpful but unsure @ Rincon-re:children. Looked online ourselves, was ok age 6+; went to book another person said no they couldn't book under age 9. We took the tour directly for $90pp; their ignorance cost us $92.Room picture not accurate. Room dull dim. View of AC unit, Room was not ready at past check in time. 30+ min re-assigned room, live & dead bugs all over, under couches not cleaned. Asked for original room but it had been given away. We never got reassigned despite asking. They cleaned it but every morning was a millipede invasion. Couldn't go w o shoes in a bottom floor room. Water filter had expired, said would replace, did not. We cook every day. Minimal kitchen equipment, i.e. No cookie sheet pizza pan, no mixing bowls, no wisk, no water kettle (was a rice cooker and convection oven-but no pans to put in it, not sure how they expected to use it?). Stocked S&P shakers but no salt & pepper; coffee maker no coffee or filters?) There is daily maid service which is good but didn't tell us at check in. Sometimes thiey'd wash dishes, sometimes not. No clothes washing detergent. Car needed to do anything, No activity at pool. Beach club good but not explained; charges for the cabanas & closes @ 6P? Most activities aren't over until 4p; couldn't use, why is an RC nickle & diming? Let down w RC

This was an awesome vacation. Allen and Bryan were absolutely AWESOME...There wasn't anything they couldn't do for us---the very Best experience we have ever had with the Registry Collection. I would highly recommend this visit. The little town is adorable, the ocean beautiful, the accommodations smaller than most three bedrooms, but still very nice. There was a master bath, but the other two bedrooms share a bathroom...that is the only thing I might change if possible. Again, Allen and Bryan were awesome from start to finish!!!
REVIEW C. | 02/22/2017 4:10pm
The concierge Allan and Bryan were wonderful- the property was not on the beach and beach club had minimal beach seating. All services at this location share the pools and beach club with the condos in the gated community. They do not have their own facilities.they made the beds, swept the floors, and replaced towels. Kitchen and kitchen table not cleaned the whole week. Weird worms on floor everyday. Not registry collection quality.
REVIEW C. | 11/09/2016 9:59am
This resort is unlike most locations we have visited. It has many owners that also rent out their units. They did not attempt to sell us a time share but offer other types of programs related to vacations services at a variety of locations. The staff was outstanding in all respects and assisted us with various day trips, airport transportation and car rentals. Due to the time of the year the beach club was closed during most of our stay for remodeling and maintenance. The beach club and pool bar restaurant open during our last 2 days. The beach club was a great place but somewhat expensive for food and drinks. There were several markets near buy. The cost of food and alcohol is very expensive in Costa Rica but of good quality. Playas Del Coco (town area) was interesting but also dirty. They do have several shops, bars and restaurants. We drove to several other areas near by thus visited several beach areas and towns. There is very little history of older buildings and town areas. The people are very friendly and helpful. Two weeks was 3 to 4 days to long because of the lack of old world history. Due to the lack of history related to old buildings, church's, town areas etc. we will not return to this are of Costa Rica as there would be little to see and do that would be new and of interest. With that said, we did enjoy the Breeze, the staff, people we met and the trips we took. I would recommend a vacation at this property but for no longer than a week or so.
REVIEW C. | 09/07/2016 10:32am
Excellent Property and Location, but the condition of the walls and floor boards in the unit was not well maintained with marks that should have required a complete repainting to provide a clean look . Overall the entire staff at the property could use some training on 'The Registry Collection Standards'.
REVIEW C. | 08/17/2016 11:51am
Playas Del Cocos where the resort is unfortunately is a bit dumpy compared to other beach areas in CR
REVIEW C. | 08/10/2016 10:16am
Some maintenance issues which were resolved upon request. Overall, a lovely property. The beach club is a drive or shuttle from the property, not walking distance. We rented a car so it was no issue. The staff were very nice. Very comfortable accommodations. We would return.
REVIEW C. | 07/12/2016 4:25pm
We have been part of the Registry Collection for over 10 years and have traveled to many of their different resorts. Though the Breeze Point Residence Club was a very nice facility, this is the first time we were being charged $30 day for housekeeping services and a fee for wifi unless, of course, we sat through a sales presentation. As far as housekeeping, we ran out of toilet paper and had to ask for more. We always try to be conservative with our towel usage but it almost became impossible to get hand towels. The pools were also nice, however, the floats available for the guest's usage were ripped and completely falling apart. It seems as if they are not doing well financially and are nickel and diming the guests. On a positive note, the people working at the resort, particularly Josue from the pool bar, were amazing.
REVIEW C. | 03/30/2016 9:15am
Front desk personnel only available 8-5, or 8-7. Closed on Sunday. No tea pot, pot holders in unit. Coffee pot, but no coffee. Dishwasher, but no dishwasher soap. No tissues. Inventoried things in the unit before I could check out; dishes, silverware, towels, etc. Accidentally broke a bowl for which I had to pay $4. Not what I am accustomed to after staying at the Whiteface Lodge.
REVIEW C. | 03/23/2016 9:09am
No signage in town to find the Reception area - Pressure to attend the presentation - Told us it was a free breakfast and orientation to the resort and town but that was not true. We had to excuse ourselves from the presentation and they took us back to the reception area and never gave us the orientation. Disappointed with the Registry for not controlling this type of resort behavior If you want a nice beach and pools this is a good resort. If you want to visit the National Parks this is a isolated area of the country. 5 hours driving to Arenal or Monteverdi. Golf course near Playa del Coco not worth $100.00. Negotiated a $90 fee but not worth it.
REVIEW C. | 02/10/2016 2:22pm
Resort is in a beautiful gated community with a wonderful Beach Club approx 2 miles away, they will not allow A C to be set below 75 so was extremely uncomfortable temperature for us to sleep. Phone service was out 80% of the time, no confirmations for dinner reservations or activities. No safe. Ice Maker was inop, light bulbs out (all reported to them the 1st day, never repaired) Hinges missing on doors, Wash cloths not replaced every day, floor was dirty (our feet got dirty walking 10 feet across the room) we may try it again (the area has a lot to offer) with the hope this was just a bad management period
REVIEW C. | 02/03/2016 1:03pm
every day we had to kill 10-12 centipedes that continually invaded our unit. The staff seemed helpless to do anything about it. Otherwise the unit was spacious and nicely decorated.
REVIEW C. | 02/03/2016 1:02pm
We ordered one beer, 3 drinks and nachos at the pool and the cost was $75 once the taxes and service charge was added. Ridiculous. Our guest badly burned his feet at the pool on the slate around the pool, a poor choice for a country with high temperatures as slate retains heat. The room was beautiful and we liked the full size appliances in the kitchen.
REVIEW C. | 01/14/2016 10:57am
The Breezes was not a satisfactory experience. The property is about a mile from the beach and the beach is filthy. The Breezes has a private beach club which is very nice but they charge $350 for use over the week. We had several questions upon check-in but the concierge was unable to answer them. We returned to the office twice to double check on our questions and no one seemed familiar with the amenities or surrounding services. There is a beach bar at the pool but other than that, restaurants are slim. The town of Coco Beach is a surfer, teen, beach hostel. There is very little in shopping, dining or entertainment. We were so dissatisfied that we checked out after three nights and moved to a different location. This is the very first time that we had been dissatisfied with a Registry property.
REVIEW C. | 01/14/2016 10:57am
Upon arrival we were told we had to pay over $300 for use of their beach club or go to a sales presentation. We called Registry and were told it was included. We went to beach club and then were told we could enter for free but if we wanted chairs and umbrella we had to pay. Beach wasn't that nice so we decided not to even bother calling again. We had to walk up 40 steps to get to rooms and the phone in the room didn't work so if we had a problem we couldn't even call. No towels at pool and it took 3 days to get beach towels. They kept saying they would leave in room but didn't. The staff only worked 9 to 5 at front desk except weekend till 8. This was a problem because nobody was there if you went out on tours for the day. There was no room service but you couldn't call anyway with no phone service. No safe in room. Asked what time mass was in town (only one mass a week) and gave misinformation on the time. We asked for one hour later check out and they said no. It's unfortunate because the grounds are beautiful. We all felt that management was only interested in sales. Manager Maria was quite unhelpful and was the one who tried to make us pay for beach and then told us she was new and didn't realize it was included. We left area on tours and took taxi to nicer beach but it cost $140 to get there and back. Was not on par with other Registry resorts and would not recommend.
REVIEW C. | 01/06/2016 10:52am
I really thought the itemized check list of everything in the hotel room was over the top. We had to go through 2 pages of inventory and the housekeeper had to double check it before we could check out. It's a rental condo. Things will get broken. It's a given. It's ridiculous to think you can charge people for accidentally breaking items such as glasses.
THOMAS F. | 11/28/2015 10:52am
Not up to Registry standards. Rooms have pleather couch and no dead bolt on door so housekeeping can walk right in on you (they did). Strange rules like you're not supposed to turn AC down below 75. The town is pretty lame and the casino is more like an arcade. Service at beach club was spotty.
REVIEW C. | 10/06/2015 10:50am
Owners of the property where very 'hands on' and delightful.
