WI FI. Terrible. Restricted to 3 devices for units which sleep 4-6 people. Continually have to log back in at most times to use. Weak signals. Just awful compared to any other Mexico or North America hotel chain. (Over 100 hotel nights this year so far) WiFi alone could be a reason never to return as just unacceptable. Drinks and food is overpriced and the drinks poor quality. Resort still is stunning but superficial. Everything is about extra cost or buying membership, all the restaraunts we like we’re closed. They have a newer entertainment area they force you to for multiple food choices called Salum which we do not like. Along which a new beach club, pool area which you have to be lined up for at 10am. It’s all about controlling patrons and it always feels uncomfortable. The nice rooms and non all inclusive along with the beautiful grounds is the only reason we continue to stay here before going to other resorts on the same trip. Vidanta as the resort name is nicknamed. “Vidon’ta”

The resort is so beautiful and our room was stunning - couldn't believe my eyes. Each and every one of your staff were so polite, friendly and helpful, especially as we had a 9 month old baby and 3 year old to handle. I have already recommended your resort to others. Thank you for a great stay.

Beautiful property, friendly staff
REVIEW C. | 05/08/2019 10:03am
The resort facilities and restaurants are outstanding. Having Diego as a platinum concierge was a really nice touch.
REVIEW C. | 01/09/2019 3:59pm
THis high quality resort needs quiet areas at the pools with no children. Vidanta as the parent chain has turned into a money grabbing institution. They do not care for the guest as a priority but selling time share (now disguised as membership) With the new fees being introduced and the exchange fees with registry, Vidanta is not worthy compared to other 5 star hotels in the area.
REVIEW C. | 11/07/2018 9:41am
At checkin, would have liked explanation of fee's and how much. Despite being an owner, being limited to certain areas of the resort only. Lastly, the continuing pressure from the sales department despite being told to be left alone

Congratulations on a great staff! All were outstanding. We have a Grand Luxxe unit at Vidanta Neuvo Vallarta and Vidanta Riviera Maya staff is also as nice. However, there are some weaknesses in Riviera Maya: breakfast service does not include drinks such as Bloody Mary's and Champaign as offered at Neuvo. There is no food plan and the prices for food and drinks are much higher in Riviera Maya. The biggest weakness is transportation within the resort. It is time consuming with very slow service.

In our unit there were a couple maintenance items that could use s one attention. The door that covers the microwave and the light switches. The pool system was noisy but the mechanic quieted it down a bit. The walls are a bit thin, we had a LOUD snorer in the room next door. The service personnel and the concierge were super helpful and performed a great service.

Wonderful facility!! Everything was great except for the so called breakfast presentation. We were tied up all day with a sales person that sold us a property management situation that in the end we realized was full of lies. It ruined one hold day of our vacation.

It was overall a great experience. The service throughout the resort was amazing. The food and drinks were priced well. The Grand Luxxe is beautiful it was beyond my expectation.
REVIEW C. | 12/07/2016 12:33pm
The only down side is the sales staff trying to get you to get out of your own Registry Collection property and upgrade or switch into their property. It is frankly insulting and they are not entirlely factual in their 'presentation'
REVIEW C. | 08/31/2016 9:57am
The property & service was superb! Shuttle service & pool service a little slow. Food everywhere AMAZING! HUGE negative...upon check in, because we were Registrry Guests, we were given a few 'gifts' for our group of 3 coupes which included a breakfast buffet: 10% off our final bill, a free excursion (which we did not use), and free transportation back to the airport. We were told there was a one hour 'informational' only talk about lowering monthly fees etc. I asked THREE different times if it was a time share sale and was told DEFINITELY NOT.( Again, because we were Registry guests). WE agreed and went to the breakfast. A representative met us and actually JOINED us for breakfast...first clue! He was very nice and told us a lot about Vidanta properties. We viewed a couple of units (again on our own free will). We came back to a large room with tables filled with people and our representative basically began to try to upsell us out of our current fractional ownership to the Vidanta properties. We told him we were not interested because we use our home property all the time. He needed to get info about the value of our home property so we pressured to sign a form and, by the way, we were told we could not return to ANY Vidanta property for FIVE years unless we upgraded! To make this short, we went through 5 different representatives and when the 6th one came we got up and refused to listen anymore! Avoid this horrible experience and you will have a GREAT vacation!

We only ate at the resort and I got food poisoning.

The Grand Luxxe is one of the best timeshares we have ever stayed at. 5 stars

Grand Luxxe Riveria Maya is a TERRIFIC vacation experience!! It should be at the top of anyone's 'to do' list. The property is extremely clean, the food is excellent and the staff is over the top in helpfulness! FYI, we were leary about the their Timeshare badgering and pleasantly surprised that it was kept to a minimum!! GREAT stay at Grand Luxxe!

The toliets malfunctions 3 times during our stay.Housekeeping was slow in cleaning our room The beach was riddened with sea weed which impacted swimming. The restaurant staff was excellent at the Carriage House especially Joel , Susan and Alani.

They treat you like you are important wherever you are on the property. The food is consistently good at all restaurants.

Mosquito's are very bad at that time of year, i wish i had known that and the resort should be doing more for fogging and controlling them. The rooms were very nice everything beautiful, a little lacking by one concierge guy but the rest were good.
REVIEW C. | 06/12/2015 10:58am
It truly surpassed my expectations. My only complaint is that we lost several articles of clothing and we had an Iphone6+ stolen our first 30 minutes on the beach. I wish there would have been more video surveillance around the beach area.

Overall, the place was pretty amazing. We stayed at the Grand Luxxe Spa Tower in a 2 bedroom unit. The unit is awesome. 10 foot ceilings, plunge pool on the patio, massage table on the patio. Everything was clean and new. Concierge on first floor of building to help with anything. Health club was good with smoothie bar attached. Many restaurants on site, but all over priced. Not a big deal if there are 2 people, but we were a family of 6. Went to town to get groceries, but did not realize there is no oven in the units. Frozen pizza and baking brownies did not work well in the microwave... When you stay in the Luxxe tower, they treat you like royalty. I tried to pay cash at checkout and it made it a 45 minute check out process and missed our first shuttle to the airport. The French restaurant Azul was absolutely our favorite restaurant for two people. Hired Dreamworks photography for family photos and they did an amazing job!

I will never ever go to a sales presentation again It was the worst

Our stay at the Grand Luxxe couldn't have been any better. Everything from check in to check out was absolutely flawless. Our concierge was incredible and went out of his way to help with even the smallest question. The Spa Tower was immaculate, as was the entire property. The golf course was a miniature version of a Nicklaus championship course. Don't be fooled by the executive course. It's a very challenging track and will test your game on every hole. The wait staff at every restaurant we ate at couldn't have been nicer, attentive and accommodating. The food was very, very good and there is a variety of options and ethnic themes. Staying at the Grand Luxxe gave us exclusive use to one of the most beautiful pools and beach clubs you could imaging. Grand Luxxe guests also have access to their own transportation shuttles and they're only about 3 minutes away from wherever you are. I could on forever about this place, but you need to go experience it for yourself. The one downside would be the beach. If you enjoy wading into the ocean, this will not be your place.

I recommend to everyone that they don't go to the 'disclosure report' breakfast. We were told it would take about an hour, at check-in by Luz. After almost 4 hours, and 5 different people pressuring us to buy, I finally threw a fit and they let us leave. It was not worth the 10% discount they offered us. Other than that, we had a wonderful holiday.

Meant to rate as 5 STARS from SEPT 2014. I am very satisfied with overall experience, from check in to bellservice. Our groceries, transport needs, spa and gyn services all attentive. Cigars and cognacs.....Need I say more? 5 STARS Thank you!

My extended family was here Sept 2014. We loved our unit but the mosquitos were vastly. I agree the sales was rather forceful and waste of a morning. Overall we loved our time here, service was attentive and the LUXXE POOL staff OUTSTANDING!!! My family cold hardly wait for the activities. Our three bedroom villa made gatherings comfortable and I want to give special thanks to our housekeepers who left a Special Birthday Towel cake! I can't wait to go again.

Overall the property was very nice, the only comment, is they tried very hard to convert to thier timeshare ownership club, that took some time away from one day.

This accommodation is not up to the standard that this or their website imply Accordingly we checked out after one night A few of the issues Room 1. Their website says they have double beds, they don't and two 6 foot boys should not be sharing a bed 2. the sofa bed is joke, its a trundle that is less than 6 foot long and has about 2 inches of padding 3. we had a very large spider in the bathroom that gave birth to about 100 more. Mgmt's reaction was "we're in the jungle; that happens" Only when pressed did they move rooms. The secod room also had a spider (although much smaller) - every heard of fumigation? Resort Their website and yours is at best misleading and at worst a con artist job The Luxxe is three buildings in the middle of the jungle. Its connected via a shuttle to the Mayan Palace and Grand Mayan. Those are high volume resorts with poor quality restaurants, no A/C and street vendors all over the place. If that is what you want thats fine; its probably consistent with general RI offerings. My understanding was that the Registry Collection was supposed to be a high end offering; that is what we were sold as Teton Club members. The Luxxe just is not that standard.
