Trip did not start off great but ended up one of the most memorable. Giovani, our concierge worked very hard to make sure we got everything we wanted and then some. He and maid did a great job decorating our villa for our anniversary. Shuttle service makes it easy to get around such a large resort. Our favorites shuttle guy was Ramone. He always referred to us as Senior Williams and family and treated us like family as well. For dinner Giovani recommended Tazuna, one of his favorites and now ours too. My wife and I were serenaded by Javier. And his self made fire work show after his song was over the top. The only strike against MC villa is that it’s time to upgrade, even phase 2 could use some touching up. The worst experience was the timeshare sales guy. He flat out lies to make sales. So be warned and don’t take the bait.

Had to repeatedly ask for towels and did not get any face or and towels until the last day after many requests to maid directly, housekeeping, and guest services, bathrooms were not cleaned daily; master bathroom and bedroom stunk, the faucet handles were broke, no handle on shower door in master told and was advised they would be up at 9am t fix, never showed up to fix the reminder of the trip; ice maker did not work. housekeeping never cleaned the outside area, many of the chair cushions on upstairs balcony were missing and those that were no are so disgusting had to be removed and used beach towels to sit on the chairs. we are owners at the Montecristo and this was the worst unit ever!!

Great resort with opportunities to visit their nearby sister properties. All inclusive fees were reasonable as were spa treatments. Definitely will go back.

In general we really like staying at MC at PUEBLO BONITO . That said, it seems that the overall feel of the resort is that it is aging poorly. There are signs of deferred maintenance and it seems there is a push to put the money into new areas and the selling of these. In particular, we had a very bad experience with a shuttle driver who was rude and more interested in policy than customers. We made a written formal complaint but received no reply or response from the resort. That was disapointing.

The villas need some attention with items such as burnt out light fixtures and broken fixtures. I emailed the resort several times with questions and also phoned them and could not get a proper response. They should have explained at check in that each person needed to provide a credit card for charges instead of charging everything to mine. The concierge came to our villa two times only plus the day of checkout.

Great location, amazing view of the Pacific! We were in one of the higher units (#23) so walking to the clubhouse and restaurants was difficult due to the steep hill so we drove to most of the restaurants. We were impressed with the food quality in all the restaurants we went to. Our favorite place to the eat was the Quivera Market which was a food court set up with several cuisines and a bar in the middle. Cibola at the Montecristo clubhouse was excellent and close to our unit. The bartender Andres was great. Servers and staff on the property were very friendly and helpful. We rented a car but the shuttle service was very good so didn’t really need it. The unit was clean and well appointed. However, we were outside most of the time on the lounge chairs admiring the view and enjoying the sunshine. Our unit faced the southwest so we had afternoon sun with not much shade. We should have asked for an umbrella. The kitchen was equipped for cooking but since we got the all inclusive package we ate at one of the 19 restaurants for nearly every meal. We had room service a few times as well. We feel we got our money’s worth with the AI package. There was an automatic up charge at a couple of the restaurants and food specials that also had an up charge. The one complaint we had about the property was the repeated harassing to go to one of the time share meetings. We were approached several times a day even during meals. It was annoying. Overall we loved the property.

We had a scorpion in our room, we were bitten by bed bugs, roaches were present. Hard to get in and out of property. mis represented at time share presentation and the became very agitated.. We didn't get what was promised and spent 3 hours instead of the 90 minutes they promised.

Property is unbelievably beautiful, but what makes the experience the best, is the personnel they have taken care of it all. Raul was a fantastic concierge, and George took care of landscaping around the house and brought us fresh flowers every day.

Furnishing are old, tired, and embarrassing for the money we pay. Lots of Facebook posts about the condition of the older villas in phase 1. It’s definitely time for our money to be invested back into our units and not future growth and development. AND MUCH BETTER AND SAFER INTERNET.

All foods served at the Market Place were served cold and when reheated, as requested, still served cold. Similarly, the Japanese Restaurant food, was also cold, my liquor drink, not properly mixed in the right proportions, and the Tapanytakki, mostly carrots and not Japanese vegtibles, which were undercooked and served cold.

5th stay at Montecristo...beginning when phase 1 was in the building process and phase 2 for the last few until this June vacation. We are orignal owners at Emerald Estates and pay our assessments maintenance fees without fail. This was why we were so tsken back being put in a UNIT 45 which is in such disrepair and smells or sewer becaus of the manhole outside the front of the unit. Questioned the age of unit 45 at check-in and was lot the unit had been completely refurbished. LIES!!!!! Very disappointed in the unit after staying in phase 2 several times.

Pool and terrace views were excellent. Daily housekeeping for this large villa was outstanding. Great place for 2-4 couples or families. Preferred eating offsite at authentic local restaurants. But full kitchen and Weber gas grill made it fun (and convenient) to stay in and enjoy the villa’s amazing views.

This was our 2nd visit to the Montecristo - this time we took our college-age kids + their friends and we all had a fantastic time! The villas are large enough to sleep 8 very comfortably and the shuttle service to the Sunset Resort pools & restaurants is very convenient, as was the shuttle to the Rose Hotel. The private pool and hot tub were perfect for late-night swims and so was the 24-hour room service! All the employees are great, but we had exceptional service from Francisco (and his jokes) at Manila Bar, Abraham Valdez (mad skills with a smile) at The Market Bar and David Miranda and Elezar's tireless service at the Main Pool. We are looking forward to our next visit! One tip - if the shuttle service is NOT included in your hotel package, I highly recommend Los Cabos Shuttle Service for the exceptional service and lower price.

The check-in process is very painful - waiting in line for 60-90 min if arriving on a Sat at a holiday. They could give us a 'number' and let us sit down and have a drink bite to eat while waiting after long day of flying customs driving. The other option is to get more employees to check in new arrivals. This has to be fixed - it is a dreadful wait.

First off, I have been an owner with Pueblo Bonito for 17 years. I have seen the customer service with this once great company slide drastically into the gutter. We stayed this trip at Montecristo Estates villas 11 23 19-11 29 19 We had stayed here 3 years ago and there is no doubt customer service has slipped dramatically in this specific resort even more so. The whole “shuttle” system is a joke as you cannot depend on it for anything. This includes the whole Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach area. The shuttle to Rose is booked out all day everyday so you are out of luck there as well. You can take a taxi out as that is the only other option. Our villa leaked in 3 separate areas due to rain and poor construction. The Thanksgiving dinner which cost $117.00 was not even what was chosen off the menu at Montecristo. We attended the “Sales Presentation” as we were offered $400.00 credit on our final bill, with exception to tips, etc. Upon checkout at Montecristo they were not willing to honor the whole credit. Upon further discussion the lady was willing to settle at me paying $99.00. I asked for a Manager whom came promptly as I was getting irritated quickly because our shuttle to the airport was waiting. After a somewhat heated verbal conversation they changed there mind and said they would charge my card $150.00 and I either take it or leave it. This is a beautiful property with a variety of activities for just about everyone. The 3-bedroom villas are on a hill with 180-degree views of the Pacific ocean, and even though it's a long walk to the rest of the resort, the shuttle services are very convenient. There are a number of pools to choose from, all of which offer poolside service. There is a great variety of restaurants and the food quality is fantastic. The golf course has unbelievable views, but for the price - could be better maintained. If you don't rent a car, getting to town can be done using the resort shuttle to the Rose Resort, than a short walk to downtown. Or, you can get a taxi to and from downtown for only $3 person each way. We chose the all-inclusive option and definitely got our money's-worth. We also had the opportunity to hire a personal chef (Jasmine) through our concierge (Raul) for a special birthday dinner and it was unbelievable! My only recommendation is to hire the chef early in your stay...you will definitely have leftovers! We'll be back soon!

Very nice property just slightly outside of town. Nice for a getaway for those who want to be able to go to town but not necessarily be in town. Convenient to almost anything which you would like to do, but generally will require taking a shuttle or taxi since the homes are slightly away from the beach and other amenities. Beautiful houses which are very private and very comfortable. Excellent client services although resort pricing.

Nice Villa, Beautiful view of the Pacific & giant waves! Will return again sometime soon! Quivira Marketplace & 'The After' sports bar were very close to the house, so walking or taking the shuttle was fast & convenient. Sky Pool was a hip, fun place to be at the resort.

Montecristo at Pueblo Bonito is exquisite! We love the villa on the mountain and especially enjoyed our backyard pool!! We enjoyed dinners at Xau Shen Asian restaurant and our daily gelato at the Marketplace! The steakhouse at Quivera was wonderful for our 39th anniversary dinner. But our favorite place to have breakfast and enjoy the beautiful pool and service is Cibolo at Montecristo! Victor and Ortencia as well as the other staff were Amazing!! They were so friendly and made our daily visits so special. We truly miss seeing their smiling faces and talking to them! Our housekeeper Azenia was so sweet and kept our villa so pretty with her beautiful flower decorations in the master bedroom! Our concierge Eduardo was able to help us with all of our reservations and recommended a perfect snorkeling trip on the Ecocat. The Catamaran was so smooth and the staff were so fun!! This was our third stay at the Montecristo in the past 11 years and every time was Incredible! We cherish our memories of beautiful Cabo at the Montecristo and can't wait to return to this beautiful property! Thank you to all the staff for our wonderful, relaxing, fun vacation!!

Check in wait was over 30 minutes in the lobby due to a few guests ahead of us (some asking questions about every potential excursion for the week!). A suggestion would be to have guests wait in the restaurant next door, while keeping track of the order of arrival. Also, most information given (passport, guest names, credit card details) could be provided prior to arrival to speed check in time significantly. There were a few maintenance issues with our specific villa but all were rectified very quickly once reported. Older villas are starting to show some wear and tear. Service level generally very high.

We have already gone to Montecristo 4 times, we love Pueblo Bonito, but this time the house or property that they gave us, La Hacienda # 5 did not meet our expectations as there were several inconveniences, such as problems with the wifi only served in it area of ??the main room and the kitchen, bad smell in one of the bathrooms in the room with 2 beds, lack of pillows and cloths in some occasions; there was a mouse in the room and a scorpion in the main room, it was reported to fumigate the house, many steps, almost 4 floors to go down to the pool, some windows and doors of the house with damages in general. Otherwise relatively good. I personally do not return to Hacienda # 5

They never had enough help at the front desk. You always have to wait. Absolutely ridiculous to have 1 desk person working when they have 4 desks. The concierge was extremely slow in helping with our requests. Also the person in charge of the housekeeping crew manages them terribly or else they don’t do their job correctly. We had several things missing from the kitchen that weren’t replaced from prior tenants. We had to call several times for missing items in the kitchen. They would take dirty linens and not replace them with clean ones. Had to call several times for linens also. The overall communication there lacks terribly.

We had stayed at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach several years ago but never Montecristo Estates. We went with two other couples and had the best time ever. We look forward to coming back in the near future either with family or friends again. I also want to say that our concierge, Eduardo, did an amazing job. Anything we asked for, he was more than able to accommodate. Your villas are amazing and again, we look forward to returning!

I am an owner at Montecristo. I hadn’t visited in almost four years and it made me realize how much I had missed it. Such a beautiful place with great food and service, and the friendliest people ever! Problems I encountered were no soap on first day, burned out light bulbs, no wine glasses or opener, no beach towels on some days, no coffee filters. These problems were all taken care of immediately when I called. Seems like a simple checklist would solve these problems. Other issues were maintenance related. Cabinet door falling off in kitchen, kitchen faucet loose, paint splattered on floor and trim, sloppy attempt at repairs. All easy fixes to make my experience at Montecristo even better.

We had a fabulous stay at Montecristo Villas. All the rooms in the villa were clean and provided ample space for all of us. The private hot tub and infinity pool were so convenient it made us never wanting to leave the villa. We signed up for the All-Inclusive Platinum package and it was well worth it. The only disappointment we had was having to leave. We will definitely return.

Check-in literally provided no information until I asked for it. I then waited for someone who ultimately explained numerous key pieces of information necessary to stay. They told us we could use Pueblo Sunset pools amenities, but failed to mention no WiFi unless we pay and it costs about $15 day!!! I am sorry, WiFi needs to simply be included, absurd policy. What really was bad was the staff CONSTANTLY came to our villa and interrupted our family and vacation. They literally came and just walked in sometimes letting themselves in with master keys, would tell us they need to 'search the storage room downstairs,' or ask us if we wanted to sign up for a $250 massage package, or tell us we needed to make sure we knew about some get together at the main check-in building where they would try to pitch us a timeshare. They simply need to leave people alone and if we need something, we will call! Without exaggerating, we had at least 4-5 visits per day, sometimes more. One day we were asleep and the maid came and wanted to clean at 9am in the morning. She just kept ringing and ringing and ringing the door bell until we finally woke up and came out only to tell her to come back later! Another day we, as a family, were in our private pool at our villa and the concierge employee simply let himself in and walked around the house looking for us and then just opened the sliding glass door from inside and walked out onto the patio with us! It scared all of us!

We absolutely loved this property and all the individuals that serviced us during our stay. So much so, we bought two weeks again to return to share with our friends and family and escape alone. The villa is very spacious and well decorated; we hardly left except to walk, dine and play golf but all other times we enjoyed the 180 degree view, endless pool and sunset hot tub time. Since we are mostly organic we appreciated the well appointed kitchen as well as La Comida which provide many organic options. Our Concierge, Eddie was always available as we texted back and forth if we had questions or needs and house cleaning staff were thorough and so friendly - thank you Lydia. Golf is spectacular but what was so important was to ocme back to a comfortable and visual pleasant space. Thank you Montecristo and we are planning or time to see you again next year!

The Montecristo Estate villas are beautiful 3BR 3Bath houses with their own infinity pools overlooking an almost 180-degree ocean view! The concierge visits daily to help tailor your experience, including in-house chef if you wish! We’d return here in a heartbeat.

Possibly because this stay was traded thru the registry and not my actual weeks at this resort the first villa we were put into was a wreck. After attending an upgrade seminar we were moved to a phase 2 unit that was better but still had issues. The upkeep of the villas are not what i have been used to in my past stays at this resort. I hope for my investment at this property the upkeep gets improved.

There is wifi in the villa but you have to make a purchase in the market to use the wifi there. This should be free to all MonteCristo owners. There is also a service fee on any purchases made in the market. They automaticly add on $1 per day to the Coppel foundation. This was removed at our request but instead of just automatically adding it to the bill,you should be advised that it is optional.

I planned a girl's trip and it was wonderful. Everyone had a great time. I've stayed about 4-5 times so far, and enjoy bringing different friends. We did a little cooking, I think 3 times, and made our own breakfasts, but the poolside dining was great and between that and our excursions, we were set. I love the private pool and sunsets, and the abundance of seating on the two balconies. It was gorgeous.

We didn't have a bathroom door (glass ), the dishwasher didn't always clean the dishes, the coffee maker had to be replaced, the blender had to be replaced TWICE, and the clothes dryer did not work. Considering the enormous enormous monthly payment we make and the equally outrageous maintenance cost, I was extremely disappointed with the maintenance of the unit we were assigned.

The resort is beautiful and the views are awesome. The beach is for walking, not water activities. The Quivira golf course is breathtaking and all-inclusive! We were given Villa 125 which seemed to surprise the guards after we checked in and drove to our location. It's the villa closest to the road and with the least desirable view and the resort was not sold out by any means so they were surprised we were put there. The pool was murky for the first three days. It took awhile for the chemicals and vacuuming to clean it up. Again, I don't think they were expecting anyone to stay there. Housekeeping needs to do inventory on the kitchen supplies. We were short on forks, wine glasses, etc. We asked to have our A C temp lowered and were told it was no problem but it never happened. After a few requests we gave up. At any rate, the villa was private and well maintained and we had a very enjoyable week there.

The houses are nice, but they are in dire need of maintenance and repairs. They also need to invest in upgraded appliances and include more kitchen wares as there are minimal pots, pans, and utensils to use. A lot of broken things in the house which was Phase 1. Also, check in day was a complete nightmare. Too many people and not enough check in staff. Long, unnecessary wait to check in.

I was dissatisfied with my villa during the stay (117). The hot tub stopped working, there was a leak in the guest bedroom and a leak in the master bedroom closet. There is often a very long wait at La Nao for shuttle service. I was there in June and there were never enough chairs by the main pool. The service by the pools was very slow, it took over 1.5 hours to get lunch by the pool.

Previously stated issues we had on the comment card prior to departing. Although forgot to mention the stove fan and lights were inoperative as well... And the kitchen supplies were limited i.e.. no large frying pan, no cookie sheet, or something to be able to bake with. Recall there being more on our last visit... We loved the new Marketplace, restaurants, and golf course that have been added since our last visit. Overall a very relaxing stay, and Edgardo, our Concierge was spectacular. He checked on us every day that he worked, and resolved issues before we even knew we had any.

Unfortunately, they couple the property orientation with a time share pitch, which means no orientation upon arrival, unless you want to suffer through an aggressive pitch. Our concierge was very helpful however.

The property has fantastic views from all villas. The shuttle service was very efficient. Housekeeping was excellent. Food was very good. The meal plan we purchased had a lot of variety and made our eating and drinking effortless. HOWEVER, we were told that the plan included taxes and gratuity. We quickly found out that the gratuity included is very minimal and that the servers expected additional tips which put us in a quandary every time the bills came for signing. I even tried to find out how much the servers actually get so as how to figure out how much more tip we should give but no one could answer that question. It really should be disclosed ahead of time so we really know what we are buying. We did the presentation (which lasted 3 hours, not the 1 1 2 like they promised and was pretty high pressure at the end) and received a credit for the 3 couples that attended. We were not told that it could not be used for tips and therefore tipped generously due to the lack of communication about the meal plan. We found out at check out so ended up paying more and loosing some of the earned credit. It does state on the voucher that it does not include tips or boutique stores but we merely put the voucher in the safe until check out. Again, it should have been brought to our attention when they gave the vouchers to us and we shouldn't have had to look for the small print. All that being said, and with my newly acquired knowledge, we will definitely return.

This was our second visit to MonteCristo. On arrival to the Villa we were surprised and disappointed by the lack of cleanliness ( especially compared to our first visit ). Large areas of the tile flooring were sticky and stained, cigarette butts were around the outdoor BBQ area, a bedside drawer contained a used toothbrush and cobwebs were in one of the closet areas. We showed our personal concierge the areas of concern the next morning. Cleaning staff came in later the same morning and cleaned all areas of concern. We also encountered plumbing concerns during our stay. On 3 occasions we had to request that maintenance come to fix one of the toilets that refused to flush. It became apparent to us that the toilet needed significant repair. While each of our concerns were addressed we felt that the overall maintenance of the unit had declined significantly and we grew tired of having to keep requesting further maintenance. We made reservations in advance of our stay at the Siempre restaurant at Pacifica ( part of the Pueblo Bonita complex available to us ). We had previously been very impressed by the food and service and so decided to celebrate a milestone birthday there. We were however bitterly disappointed on this visit. The food was very expensive, served in very small portions and our waiter was not very attentive ( seemed to literally disappear from the restaurant for periods of time ) despite the fact that the restaurant was not very busy. Otherwise great !!

We recently stayed at Montecristo along with two other couples in a three bedroom villa. Accommodations were excellent. We stayed in Phase 2 near the shuttle service to the Marina. View was great and location was excellent to walk to Sunset Beach resort. Each bedroom has a fully furnished ensuite making it a great spot if multiple couples are going. We will definitely be going back.

Cleaning ladies did not clean up dead roaches on patio, but otherwise fine. Miscommunications between staff occurred a few times (i.e. schedule for our personal concierge, timing of maid service). Jose was great to work with. The phase 2 unit was beautiful! Can't wait to come back!

This time past the initial day we never heard from our concierge! Was not at all pleased as well with the owners sales meeting due to the weather our session was obviously cancelled but of course we showed up with no notification at all expect the claim they contacted us but had wrong unit on paperwork versus the house which was under our names gee why wouldn't you have looked this up to reschedule oh yeah didn't want to give us the monies were where promised lousy operations within sales all around would not recommend anyone buy from these folks in the future!!!!!

It is a beautiful property. However, the upkeep on the home needs to improve. Villa 146 has water damage in the walls that needs to be repaired. Also a water leak from the ceiling in the laundry room. There should be full time maintenance people who can fix these things. The phone systems is terrible. The extensions on the phones in the villa do not work. Also when trying to call the resort from the States who ever answers hangs up or transfers to the wrong department. It takes several calls to finally get the right person on the phone. This is extremely frustrating. Every year I comment about this.

Our concierge, Jose, provided outstanding services! He was always available to answer questions and assist with our planning needs. He visited at our unit and anytime we were in the main office or dining in the restaurant to check on us. Elisa at the front desk was outstanding! She was professional, warm, and friendly, and ensured that all of our needs were met. Elisa answered all of our questions and checked on our plans to make sure that everything was in place and running smoothly. Jose and Elisa are wonderful assets to your organization! Estella was our housekeeper and she did a fantastic job keeping the unit beautiful throughout our stay. She was very warm and friendly to our family. All of these staff members should be recognized for their exceptional work ethics and attention to the customer!

This was our 2nd exchange property to stay at and although we were thrilled with the beautiful views from Villa 4 (all the way at the top in Phase I), we were less than thrilled with the service we received. No ice maker for the entire week that was never repaired (resulting in bags of ice being delivered daily for 7 people - sometimes having to wait 3.5 hours for it), couldn't lock/latch the front door (did get repaired after about 3-4 days), infinity pool did not recirculate resulting in stagnant and warm pool water, and spa only had 1 working jet. It IS a beautiful property with access to Sunset Beach and the Villa is tastefully decorated with stunning views of the Pacific. Shuttle service to Sunset Beach for taxis into downtown Cabo could be quicker for Villas 1-11...average wait time 30-35 minutes. In spite of the maintenance issues, we had a wonderful week. If we return, we may request Phase II Villas which are closer to Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort restaurants and the Sunrise Cafe.

The first villa had maintenance issues, such as, we didn't have hot water in the master shower for 4 days,the pool lights didn't work,a leak from the jacuzzi caused the plaster in the downstairs double bedroom to have fallen off. The villa was very shabby. We complained many times and no one listened. It wasn't until the next villa complained we were noisy that we were moved to a better accommodation. To be treated this way makes us not want to return.

This is a wonderful location to spend a week. Each Villa has a pool and is well stocked. You are on a hill, which makes for a beautiful view, but a long way from beach, there is a free shuttle service. The only problem is still the time share sales. When you check in there are ladies there trying to sign you up for a presentation, they will offer you money to spend on site, but they are not truthful on what you can spend it on.

We returned to Montecristo Estates this February and spent two blissful weeks there. Overall, Montecristo is an amazing resort! The grounds are beautiful and luxurious. The gardens are lavish & vibrant, and the view is majestic & never ending. You are immersed in beauty from the moment you arrive ‘till the moment you leave. When it comes to the amenities, the three-bedroom villa we stayed in (#159) was superb & impeccable. The Harmony Spa truly delivers harmony to your body & soul, and the Golf Course is magnificent, as is the Club-house. When it comes to service, all the staff are courteous, professional, and welcoming, but then there are those that are particularly exceptional, like Karen & Alfredo. Karen was our personal concierge who visited us everyday to offer her assistance, wealth of information and made all our plans run smoothly. She paid particular attention to detail, and much to our surprise, made a birthday and anniversary special by going the extra mile with chocolate covered strawberries and cake. As for Alfredo – he was pleasure to deal with. He always welcomed us with his warm smile and handled our check- in & check -out promptly & effortlessly. In every respect, it was truly a heavenly holiday.

We have been to Montecristo Estates before and have always enjoyed our stay. We especially enjoy the infinity pool and the quiet. All of the staff are very dedicated and very friendly. It is a ways out of downtown Cabo but you can always take the shuttle in and a taxi back if you want to partake in the night life of the city. We booked our own fishing trip on Peleodor and had a great time plus we brought a little over 20 lbs of dorado home to enjoy later. We have been to other resorts and find the Pueblo Bonito salespersons less aggressive than other resorts.

Prior to arriving I had spoken with the hotel portion about an extra night we needed in the middle of our stay. They were not helpful. However, when we arrived, our personal concierge, Raul, bent over backwards to make sure we were taken care of, as did our housekeeper and others! The maintenance of the resort is poor. The oven and bbq did not work. 2 sliding glass doors would not lock. The front cover to the Jacuzzi was missing, meaning the when anyone stepped out wet, they were next to the electrical wires, etc. Also, there were small pieces of glass all over the downstairs patio, as well as in the swimming pool itself. The rooms were clean. We rented a car this time because the shuttle service to down below is so poor. Often there are waits of over an hour which is not suitable. We feel this timeshare should not be on the Registry Collection since it's gotten so run down. The views are great from patios and pool areas.

General maintenance was very poor, outfitting of the kitchen was extremely poor. Beds were very good and general clenliness was very good. Miscellaneous furnishings appeared daily. This place really needs to step up a lot of notches or get off Registry Collection. We were hounded right off with time share presentations. We own at this resort and it was embarrasing. If it's so great a place why do they have to pay people to sit through 2 hours of selling actually nothing for $10K+? Everyone hates it.

The villa had a wonderful view and we enjoyed the pool & spa. We mainly cooked in but the kitchen was extremely poorly equipped. Something went wrong on a daily basis, but was fixed very quickly. I know they are remodeling, but we had villa furnishings appear and disappear daily, we never did get a chandelier in the main room. Furniture was very stiff but the beds were great. If you go, be sure to rent a car to avoid having to wait for the shuttle, it's definitely worth it. Food on site was fair and bland. Offsite food was great. The resort needs to really pay more attention to detail, they know how to but just don't.

We have stayed at the Monte Cristo on two different occasions. The first visit was perfection! Had a primo unit with a spectacular view and everything in the house was in good order. Our second visit had a few hiccups, but the Concierge worked hard to make it right and we were pleased with the outcome. What we love most about this property are the staff. They are all so humble and friendly, and always smiling. One of the gardeners that I saw each morning on my walk even picked me a bouquet of flowers one morning. Will definitely return again and again to the Monte Cristo! NOTE TO THE MONTE CRISTO - please upgrade the kitchen items. It was very difficult to cook a meal for more than 2 people. Not enough pots, pans, and gadgets.

We absolutely love Monte Cristo Estates. The view is absolutely breath taking. We ourselves loved the beds but our guests thought they were a little hard so we made one phone call and mattress pads were delivered instantly for everyone. The only thing we might suggest is to have a small bar fridge on the pool level for better access to beverages from the pool. This is our second stay at Monte Cristo and we absolutely love it there.

We spent the last two weeks of January at the Montecristo Estates. Simply put, they were HEAVENLY! The villa (154) was beautiful, very clean,very well equipped and maintained. The view was magical! We were surrounded by mountain, ocean and immense beauty everywhere. It all revitalized our soul. Speaking of revitalization the full body Swedish massage at Armonia Spa was exhilarating. The Spa itself was beautiful and invigorating. Quivira Golf Course was breathtaking as was the Club House situated right on the beach. We tried the many restaurants the food was very good, excellent at Siempre, Sunday brunch and dinners. The service was professional, most courteous and friendly, unequivocally exceptional. Our gratitude goes to Karen, our personal Concierge, who contacted us everyday to offer her assistance and to make sure our wants were fulfilled. Our gratitude also, to the front desk concierge, Fabiola, Alfred, Eduardo and Jose, last but not least to the Manager Edgar who fosters such a wonderful team. We cannot wait to return.

Resort credits offered by sales department were poorly explained. Turns out exclusion for 'prepaid services' means 'gratuities' or 'tips'. We ended up not being able to use all our credits and paying the difference. Very disappointed as we frequently visit annually. We like the options of multiple restaurants at the resort and the opportunity to be shuttled into the sister resorts in downtown Cabo. Additionally, we like having Sunday Mass offered in the chapel

The Montecristo provides us with a lovely villa, beautiful views, spa opportunities and great service. We swam in our own private pool twice a day and were able to see humpback whales splashing in the ocean. My husband and brother-in-law really enjoyed the new Jack Nicklaus golf course here while my sister and I indulged in massages. The guys also went fishing and we had some great ono (wahoo) which we could barbecue and enjoy right at the villa while watching some glorious sunsets.

Our gas grill was missing the tank, so it kinda ruined a dinner I had prepared when I couldn't grill the meat when everything else was done. The concierge service was really nice, room was very nice, did not like the entertainment on the mexican buffet, it was hard on the ears.

This resort puts tremendous pressure on guests to listen to attend a sales event, even if you are an owner at another property. They would not even give me the key to my unit until I signed up for a sales presentation. I refused and insisted they give me my key and they relented. A few days later my husband and I attended a sales presentation in return for resort amenities, which they honored at check-out, but someone called every day to see if we had signed up for a sales presentation.

I own at Monte Cristo and love going to Cabo. I was disappointed that the homes had minor repair issues that we requested they fix but they never made the repairs. They were also very slow with the golf cart service and the room service was terribly slow.

We absolutely LOVE the Monte Cristo and the staff. We were a bit disappointed with the time it took to correct the air conditioning and lighting problem we faced when we checked in and we also experienced more difficulties than ever before getting transportation from our Villa to other locations. in fact, we missed the shuttle on one occasion because it took a cart over 30 minutes to pick us up. We certainly expect to visit again and hope these items are corrected.

the villas need to be updated, new furniture etc. we had broken lounge chair, safe, front door lock. there seems to be less staff around, pools have loud music, empty drink glasses and cans. when i called ahead of time to make car arrangements, delivery of our bin, and dinner reservations it took 4 different phone calls, and none of it was done when we got there. Gerry took care of everything when we got there, but it was a little frustrating. This property needs to be seriously updated!

They also try very hard to get you to go to their sales breakfast, which we have done in the past, and did not want to do again. No one actually escorted us to our accommodations or provided an orientation but I have not ever had that with any property. I was disappointed that upon check in, the personnel sent us to a desk where we were ask to take a tour. It would have been a sales pitch trying to get us to purchase a timeshare. I am not interested in going on any 90 minute tour for a credit on my bill. I would not expect such a high quality resort to allow this.

The Montecristo villas have tremendous views of the Pacific from their lofty perch. The ocean is a long way from your deck, but with a wonderful private negative edge pool and ready transportation down the hill if you decide to hit the beach below, you won't mind.

biggest problem staying at phase one at monte crito up the hill is transportation. The wait for the shuttle to get anywhere in the complex was really lengthy and inconvenient. Many times I walked down, and had to wait ver 45 minutes for transportation up to our unit. Taxis into town came fast, but the in house transport was inadequate and isolating . In addition, the unit is showing its age and needs redoecorating and refreshing.

35 years timesharing and this is one of the most private and unique properties where we've stayed. Free shuttles all over town and the four beachside sister resorts. Maid and Concierge service is second to none. Spectacular of Pacific Ocean from our own private master bedroom, pool and spa with spectacular views. We took our grown children/couples and all had private bedrooms and baths. Full kitchen, had our groceries delivered. Five star restaurants on site. We will be back again and again !
