We’ve been coming to the Von Trapp property for several years and it never disappoints. We love the spaciousness and coziness of the villas, the beautiful mountain views and the ease of accessing the x-country ski trails and snow shoeing outside your door. Can’t wait to go agai!

Fantastic escape into peace and quiet of the nature. Stunning views. Miles and miles of hiking right out of the door. The layout of villas is practical and comfortable. Villa 5 needs upgrades, some repairs, and a better maintenance. During COVID times the cleaning process was expected to be much more thorough. The last two comments were conveyed to the management.

The grounds at Trapp Lodge were beutiful and well maintained. The tours, classes and tastings offered were educational and insightful. We stayed in one of the villas, and it was amazing! We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property!

This is a fabulous facility. We could have stayed forever. The mornings seeing nature and her creatures in full glory right outside the window was mind blowing.

Beautiful villa in a beautiful setting, that tempts us to return both summer and winter. We took full advantage of the location close to Mt Mansfield and Smuggler's Notch as well as the amenities and activities on the property. I enjoyed hiking and running the trails, morning yoga, turning a bowl, Mozart chamber music, and music in the meadow. The only negative was the dishwasher mounting brackets were broken, so the dishwasher wobbled, but it ran fine.

Our Villa#1 was casual elegance! Not only was it spacious and beautifully furnished but offered our grand kids a huge fireplace for their s'mores fetish, huge bathtubs for their nightly bubble baths, ski and snowshoe trails right off our back door. Our vistas were beautiful - out the kitchen window we could see the cross country skiers and then turn around and there were the colorful mountains and sky out of the huge living room windows. Because we had a lot of snow, we made a snowman, exciting for our snow-less life and then walked 100 feet to snowshoe to the Austrian Tea house for sinful treats and sweets! The lodge provides many different activities, our favorite was the Snowshoe Maple Tour, where Bob,our excellent guide gave an historical presentation which ended at the Sugar House where we saw the production of maple syrup. The pool and hot tub were visited daily and the Ben and Jerry's tour was on;y 30 minutes away, another not-to-miss tour. Thank you Registry Collection for this property; my grand kids are begging to go back for summer fun!

Had a wonderful week at the Trapp Family Lodge. The property is gorgeous with so many activities right there onsite. The Villas are spacious and very well appointed. Brewery tour and tasting is a must. We will definitely back again in the fall and winter months.

This is our favorite place to stay. The villas are incredible, done in an Austrian theme. Such an important part of history. Got a chance to take a photo op with Joohannas Von Trapp and his son Sam who oversee the property. It is just an amazing place. They have added a brewery since we were last there. We hope to return their in a year or two.

We go back every year. We are always able to get a villa and the accommodations feel so homey. The wood burning fire place with abundant supply of wood is so perfect at the end of a day of skiing. The new brewery and restaurant on the premises is something you simply can't miss out on. They did a great job with it.

Villa was exceptionally clean and maintained. Location is quite beautiful. Food across all restaurants at resort was average.

Nothing major was wrong, but the information provided at check-in was minimal; I was given the previous week info sheet: Aug 12 instead of Aug 19. I also did not receive any pre-arrival information, called about it but was told it was automatically generated & could not be sent independently. I failed to report that the king bdrm on the main floor smelled every night of smoke; I think it's just the way it is. And I do need to report that Villa 13, the upstairs jet tube in the king room needs cleaning. It was spitting out dirt or mold. Although it did not matter to us, the 2 primary restaurants were closed for the week due to a special all week event. We had young children but had we been a couple, this could have been disappointing. I still would return to this property and thanks to Trip Advisor, got useful information about the area.

Only disappointment was reception staff not being aware of footpath from our villa to the main lodge. We discovered the route, saved us using the car.

Very beautiful location - loved the huge windows looking toward the ski slopes and other mountains. The villa was perfect and we will definitely bring our kids nexttime. So close to Ben & Jerry's, Cabots, green mountain coffee and amazing restaurants.

Our stay at TFL was delightful as usual. We enjoyed animal tracking with Chris and were excited to find moose, deer and coyote tracks. Chris was friendly and knowledgeable. The next day, we stopped by the outdoor center and talked to Kate who showed us the new yellow snowshoe trail on the map. The day before, we recognized her outside the outdoor center and she pointed out trails through the pasture that we had never tried before. She's great! Off in the woods, we applied our knowledge f

We have had a wonderful time and will definitely be back! The villa is beautiful--lots of space and well-appointed--and we've had a roaring fire every day. Our daughter (9) brought a friend and they have truly enjoyed being outside exploring the beauty of Vermont. We've been on many hikes and the scenery is spectacular. Stowe and Waterbury are quaint towns that are fun to explore. We can't wait to return!

My only comment is I thought some of the activity fees were high. Ideally, there would be a way to build these into the exchange fee, but i know that's easier said than done given the varying rates for different accommodations. Overall, the experience was great!

We love the Trapp Family Lodge Villas. They are spacious and comfortable with beautiful views of the mountains and cross-country ski trails out your backdoor. The Villas are clean, beautifully designed and have everything you need--classic Vermont with a touch of Austria. We love the fireplace and the cozy beds. We enjoyed many of the activiities offfered: snowshoeing, x-country skiing, a wood turning class, water aerobics, Jazz night & delicious food at the deli & dining room. A+ hospitality!

Snowshoeing and cross country was fabulous! Beautiful accommodations, breathtaking views and helpful staff. Great for families and couples. Stowe resort is minutes away with some of the best skiing in New England.--Michael S.
