Lovely hotel and wonderful breakfast. Ask for the down comforter instead of the blanket for an extra nice touch. And Harry Potter fans will get a kick out of Dobby in the lobby. Just be sure to get driving directions to the hotel, as the GPS takes you the wrong way.

We stayed at the Marcliffe in June 2015. Cannot say enough good things about the property, staff, service, room, food, etc. Truly outstanding! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property.

At the Marcliffe, I found everything I wanted, and I found kindness, thoughtfulness, and comfort. I cannot say enough about the spirit of a combined effort from all the staff and management, all working together to make my stay better than I had dreamed it could be. You will love The Marcliffe and I think you will love Aberdeen.

The Marcliffe was a charming property with wonderful staff and service. For Registry Collection guests, they provide a junior suite. It has a good amount of room. Unlike other RC properties, there is no kitchen. However, a huge breakfast is included with the room. The property is on the outskirts of Aberdeen and a car is almost necessary. However, it is a short drive to town. The room was well furnished and the housekeeping was precise and unobtrusive. The barkeepers helped us choose a different local whiskey each night for tasting (and all were delicious). The owner was often present and friendly. We were able to use the Marcliffe as a base to visit historic castles and St. Andrews (for the British Open). While it is different than many RC properties, we highly recommend it.

This is one of the most splendid places we have ever stayed. We plan to go back - even if just to stay in the hotel and go for walks. All the personnel with out exception were superb and caring. We LOVED it.
