Borgo di Vagli- Cortona, Italy (D014)

This private escape offers panoramic views of the breathtaking Tuscan hills, including a spectacular view of a 10th century Pierle Castle. Within a 90 minutes drive you will be able to explore the south of Florence and only a 2-hour drive to the city of Rome. Located within southern Tuscany, this restored 14th century hamlet is surrounded by olive groves and fruit trees.

Its ancient walls, stone terraces and cobbled pathways offer the perfect rustic experience. All the residences have been lovingly restored, accentuated by low doorways and small windows cut through thick stone walls. All are equipped with cozy kitchens and bathrooms blended subtly with traditional Terracotta tiles and exposed low wooden beam ceilings allowing you to embrace and experience a true Tuscan Hamlet. Borgo di Vagli is the result of a 10-year restoration project by renowned restoration engineer Fulvio Di Rosa. It maintains as faithfully as possible its medieval atmosphere and look, without compromising modern-day comforts. Borgo di Vagli will appeal to those who enjoy the charm of ducking under low, 600-year-old doorways, capturing scenic views framed through windows cut through thick stone walls, and dining in a traditional candlelit Trattoria.
