 | | | | | | Overview: In South Dakota, where the Black Hills rise from the prairie to meet the sky, there’s a break in the hills known as Buffalo Gap. For centuries, herds of bison have passed this way seeking shelter in the hills. On a tree-covered plateau overlooking this famous landmark, a few exceptional homes will be situated for privacy. The climate is mild and the beauty is stunning – with sweeping views of forests to the west and the Badlands to the east. | |

We’ve selected some of the nation’s best designers and architects to create these homes, making them as distinctive as the land they’ll occupy.
