Lower Mill

Hidden away in the most exclusive part of England’s finest rural playground, Gloucestershire, just one-and-a-half hours from London, the 650-acre Lower Mill Spa is one of the world’s most luxurious private vacation resorts, combining ultra sophisticated lifestyle with a unique next-to-nature experience. Lower Mill lies on a sumptuous stretch of land and lakes teeming with wildlife. The wholly private estate is already a globally recognized nature reserve. From the doorstep of your architect-designed holiday home, you and your children can step out into a safe world of big skies, crystal clean air and the evocative sound of waterfowl. Boating and fishing on Lower Mill’s lakes, kids and adults too can safely live the idyllic lifestyle of the classic English novel, Swallows and Amazons. Plus, you have use of the three pools and exclusive facilities of the estate’s Artspa one of the most advanced and well equipped spas in Europe. Or you can spend happy days just wandering and picnicking in near solitude on the property’s own 650 acres and chilling out in pristine meadows unchanged since Roman days. Drive out of Lower Mill, and in minutes you can be celebrity spotting in Tetbury or exploring the elegant classic English country town of Cirencester.

Much of the charm and enchantment of the estate rests in the simple splendour of the landscapes and its wealth of wildlife. It’s a nature reserve, where species now lost to so much of the countryside thrive. Butterflies and orchids, badgers, beavers, otters and deer, kingfishers, nightingales, egrets and owls. These are near neighbours, just a short walk away through woodlands and meadows, along secret tracks beside streams and lakes.
